How to Spice Up Your Ground Beef

Updated: Jan 2

Do you struggle to use your ground beef? Do you get sick of the normal ways of using ground beef: tacos, spaghetti, meatballs, meatloaf...? I got to thinking that it would be helpful to be able to make my ground beef into sausage.

I'm sure this is not a new concept by any means, but it was revolutionary for me! Now I don't have to buy the sausage at the grocery store and I don't have to worry about the ingredients and I always have ground beef in the freezer so I don't have to make an extra grocery store trip!

These recipes are really easy. Just thaw your ground beef. Begin browning your beef in your skillet and add the seasonings as it cooks. That's really it!

And don't forget, you can purchase the best tasting ground beef in bulk from Miller Brothers Farm! Simply send me an email and I'll send you all the information!

So, without further ado, here are three sausage recipes to help spice up your ground beef.

Italian Sausage

1 pound ground beef

1 tsp parsley

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp fennel seed

1/4 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 to 1 tsp salt, to taste

Pizza Sausage

1 pound ground beef

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp fennel seed

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

1/2 tsp salt

Breakfast Sausage

1 pound ground beef

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 tsp dried sage

1/4 tsp marjoram

You can use the Italian sausage in soups, the pizza sausage on homemade pizza, and the breakfast sausage in quiche, in egg muffins, or even just on the side next to your scrambled eggs in the morning!

What do you think? Are you going to give these recipes a try?
