About Us
For four generations, Miller Brothers Farm has been raising black Angus cattle, corn, soybeans, oats, wheat, and hay on the farm in Oakland, Illinois. We strive to implement sustainable farming methods throughout our operation.
Our Philosophy
We are all natural: no dyes, preservatives, artificial hormones, or steroids, EVER. Our animals receive antibiotics only if they are sick, not on a regular basis. Our cattle spend their days roaming through ample pastures and grazing on grass. You can have peace of mind when you know the source of your food!
What We Do
We have been no-till farming since 1998, which reduces wind erosion, water erosion and topsoil run-off in our fields. In addition, we also plant cover crops to suppress weeds, help control pests and diseases, grow organic matter, and put nutrients back into the soil.
We rotate the planting of corn, soybeans, oats, wheat and hay in our fields to improve the physical, chemical, and biological composition of the soil. We make it our goal to be both economically and ecologically sustainable.
